Hey, I’m Valyrica — Founder of Seattle Girl Shift.
Moving to Seattle was meant to be a new chapter, a clean slate. But as the rain settled in, so did the realization of how difficult it truly is to find genuine community and lasting friendships as an adult. I spent months navigating the 'Seattle Freeze,' searching for a space that felt like home. I didn't just want somewhere to go on a Friday night; I wanted a community where I felt seen, heard, and connected.
Maybe I wasn’t supposed to just find that community. Maybe I was supposed to help create it.
The First Reflection wasn't just about looking back it was about looking in the mirror and realizing that the shift I was waiting for had to start with me. Seattle Girl Shift was born from that very moment of becoming.
